Center Line Mayor Bob Binson, Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce President John Johson, and AEW’s Chairman of the Board Roy Rose.
At the annual awards presentation luncheon meeting of the Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce (SMCC), there were a number of awards presented, and AEW was awarded the “Jim Binson Business of the Year” by John Johnson, the chamber’s president, and Center Line Mayor Bob Binson. The award reads, “In recognition of valuable contributions to Southeast Michigan Chamber of Commerce.”
Mayor Binson serves as vice president of Binson’s Medical Equipment and Supplies, and his father, Jim, is president of the firm started by the mayor’s grandfather six decades ago. In presenting the award to AEW’s Chairman of the Board Roy Rose, the mayor shared how he’s always valued AEW’s integrity, knowledge, and willingness to work together to bring the best possible solutions to their clients on both large and smaller projects.
In accepting, Roy said that he, and the whole AEW team, is proud and honored to work with the 29 communities we currently serve, including Center Line, along with our private and commercial clientele, and we’re grateful to have received this award from the chamber as we’re now celebrating our 50th year in business.
Macomb Public Works Commissioner Candice Miller was also honored at the luncheon, and she received the “Ted Wahby Elected Official of the Year” award for her dedicated years of public service. She was especially pleased that Ted Wahby Jr. was there to present her with the award, and she also noted that the senior Wahby had served as her Deputy Treasurer during her years as County Treasurer.
