AEW assisted the City of Rochester with important improvements to their municipal park, which included renovations to an existing comfort station and construction of a new community band shell.
The newly renovated 1,300 square foot comfort station features family restrooms, drinking fountain and water bottle filling station, and a covered pavilion. The cedar and stone materials match the newly constructed band shell and complement the existing park context. The band shell, designed by AEW, is a handsome timber structure nestled near the Paint Creek and features a 750 square foot stage that faces a natural hill, providing seating for up to 1,000 people. The band shell also includes two dressing rooms which flank the stage, providing the perfect venue for family-friendly community events.
