Construction of the new Shelby Township Library is moving forward, and Township Officials, Library Director Katie Ester and her staff, the Library Advisory Commission, and Township residents are all looking forward to the completion of this new, state-of-the-art building, currently scheduled for October, 2021.
The current 12,500 sq. ft. library opened in 1972 in the building formerly occupied by Disco Elementary School, built in 1960.

(AEW) is honored to serve as the Architect of record and Structural Engineer on this amazing new library located in the same township as our firm’s corporate headquarters. Jason Arlow, AIA, VP, and Director of Architecture, is Project Manager, Scott Kelley, Senior Architect, is the Construction Administration Architect, Wakely Associates served as Associate Architect, and Peter Basso Associates is the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineer.
