10 Mile Road Resurfacing

The Road Commission for Oakland County selected Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick, Inc. (AEW) to provide construction engineering services for the resurfacing of 10 Mile Road between Telegraph and Lahser Roads in Southfield. The project includes asphalt milling and resurfacing, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk ramp upgrades, pavement markings, and traffic signal improvements. AEW is delivering project management, construction administration and inspection, and traffic control services. Challenges included complex staging at a major intersection and a last-minute shutdown of a paving plant, which AEW resolved by coordinating with MDOT to secure an alternate plant. Once complete, this project will improve safety and drivability along a key corridor and provide a reliable alternative to I-696.
