Belle Isle Driker and Wilson Trails

Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick, Inc. (AEW) partnered with the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to provide design and construction administration for the Driker and Wilson trails at Belle Isle Park. The project included preserving and improving the trails and adding a new pedestrian bridge along Sunset Drive.

As part of the engineering as-needed contract, AEW provided services such as topographical surveying, civil and traffic engineering, construction staking, and administration. Through close coordination with both agencies, AEW ensured effective communication and project success. The improved trails offer Belle Isle visitors safer, more accessible, and visually appealing pathways.
