Crosswalk TAP Grant
Shelby Township improved pedestrian safety by upgrading six crosswalks with push buttons, pedestrian signals, flashing beacons, lighting, and sidewalk ramps. The project, funded by Transportation Alternatives Program funds, Shelby Township, and the Macomb County Department of Roads, targeted key locations near neighborhoods, parks, and schools.
Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick, Inc. (AEW) provided engineering services, including surveying, design, construction staking, and observation. These enhancements address sidewalk gaps, ensuring safer access for residents and promoting a more walkable community.
