Firefighters Park Pickleball Courts

To meet the growing demand for pickleball, the City of Troy selected AEW to design and oversee construction of eight new courts at Firefighters Park, located along Square Lake Road. AEW provided comprehensive services—including surveying, engineering, architecture, landscape design, and construction services—and proposed the addition of shade structures for player comfort.

Following a detailed site survey near the park’s north parking lot, AEW developed plans for court layout, asphalt surfacing, fencing, drainage, a pathway extension, and other key features. Despite encountering poor soil conditions that required additional excavation and stone, construction began in mid-May and was completed on schedule by June 30, 2025—just in time for the City’s July 1 ribbon-cutting ceremony. The total project cost was $535,000.

The new courts are expected to serve as a hub for fun, fitness, and community connection in Troy.
