Macomb Township: Pitchford Park

Macomb Township received donated land in 2021 with the condition that it be developed into a Township park, and Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick, Inc. partnered closely with the Township to design a space that matched their vision. Construction began in December 2022 and was substantially completed by Fall 2023, resulting in a park featuring a dog park, tennis and pickleball courts, a comfort station, pavilion, sunshade structures, utilities, landscaping, and additional amenities—all delivered for a total project cost of over $3 million. AEW provided comprehensive services including surveying, civil engineering, architectural design, contract administration, construction staking, observation, and construction management. Despite the challenge of integrating many features and accommodating several mid-project enhancements as funding increased, AEW collaborated with the Township and an experienced contractor to successfully create a multifunctional recreational space that strengthens the community.
