Ray Township Fire Station

The Ray Township Fire Station was designed to provide a modern, efficient emergency response facility while supporting the community’s future growth and operational needs. AEW provided comprehensive services, including feasibility studies, architectural design, surveying, construction documents, bidding assistance, and construction administration for the new 13,100‑square‑foot facility. The station features a 5,300‑square‑foot apparatus bay capable of housing up to eight emergency vehicles, as well as a second floor with a 32‑person training room and an Emergency Operations Center. A key project challenge involved incorporating an existing pole barn into the new facility while maintaining uninterrupted operation of a county radio tower and its supporting utility room. AEW developed a design that integrated these existing elements into the overall building layout, allowing critical communications infrastructure to remain fully functional throughout construction. The site was also planned with new parking areas and driveways to support the safe and efficient movement of emergency vehicles. The completed fire station provides Ray Township with a flexible, future‑ready facility that enhances emergency response capabilities and community preparedness.
