Roseville Library Interior Renovation
AEW collaborated with the City of Roseville and the Roseville Public Library on a series of design projects over a five-year period, supporting both targeted improvements and long-range planning efforts. Early work included the design of a new entrance canopy to address visibility challenges created by the set-back entrance, improve wayfinding, and provide weather protection for patrons approaching from the parking lot. AEW also provided schematic design and cost estimating services to support a proposed full library renovation in preparation for a bond initiative, with goals that included expanded study and meeting spaces, a café, enhanced children’s areas, technology spaces, and distinct reading areas organized around a fireplace and water feature.
Building on this work, AEW provided full design services for an interior renovation of the Roseville Public Library in collaboration with the Library and a library design consultant. The project focused on refreshing interior finishes and creating flexible study, meeting, and computer areas to support current and future community needs, along with the addition of a makerspace and lounge area with vending capabilities. AEW was responsible for design development, construction documents, bidding, and construction administration, while coordinating with consultants to evaluate mechanical and electrical systems and identify necessary upgrades to support the renovated spaces.
