UCS GRAEBNER ELEMENTARY SITE IMPROVEMENTS & BUILDING ADDITION
Graebner Elementary School underwent a significant campus transformation as part of Utica Community Schools’ 2023 Safety & Success Bond program, bringing together facility, site, and safety improvements that better support students, staff, and families. AEW provided civil engineering, surveying, and construction services to help implement the project and enhance the overall functionality of the school grounds. A key component of the work included redesigning the site layout to create separate bus and parent drop-off loops, improving circulation and reducing conflicts during arrival and dismissal. The project also featured parking lot improvements, upgraded underground infrastructure, a new pedestrian crossing, and new playground facilities designed for student recreation and engagement. These site enhancements complemented a building addition and interior renovations that expanded learning opportunities and strengthened school security. Careful planning focused on creating a safer, more organized environment while improving the everyday experience for students, parents, and staff. The completed improvements provide Graebner Elementary with modern facilities and site amenities that will serve the school community for years to come.
