UCS HENRY FORD II HIGH SCHOOL 2025 ATHLETIC IMPROVEMENTS
The UCS Henry Ford II High School Athletic Improvements project delivers a comprehensive upgrade to the school’s athletic facilities in Sterling Heights through Utica Community Schools’ 2023 bond program. Representing an approximately $8.19 million investment, the project focuses on creating durable, modern facilities that better support student‑athletes, spectators, and long‑term campus operations. AEW worked alongside Integrated Design Solutions and the broader project team to provide civil engineering, surveying, and construction support services. Design and construction required precise coordination within an active school environment while avoiding wetland impacts and resolving complex stormwater management constraints. The improvements include new turf baseball and softball fields, a reconfigured parking lot, and an underground stormwater system, along with supporting amenities such as bullpens, batting cages, bleacher seating, restrooms, concessions, sidewalks, and picnic areas. AEW’s detailed site engineering and proactive collaboration helped translate the district’s goals into an efficient, constructible solution. The completed athletic complex elevates functionality, user experience, and campus pride while reinforcing the school’s role as a community asset.
