Wayne Road Resurfacing

AEW provided professional engineering construction services for a 1.1-mile road improvement project on Wayne Road, stretching from Joy Road to Plymouth Road in Livonia and Westland. The scope included hot mix asphalt cold milling and resurfacing, concrete pavement repair, curb ramp installation, signage, and pavement markings. AEW handled contract and construction administration as well as on-site observation. A major challenge was the need for coordination with MDOT and the local cities while minimizing disruption to residents and businesses. AEW addressed these challenges by leveraging its experience with MDOT requirements and maintaining communication with the community through schedule updates and a dedicated contact number. These efforts ensured the smooth progress of the project with minimal inconvenience to stakeholders. The completed improvements contribute to safer, more efficient travel in the Charter County of Wayne.
