Facilitating Design and Construction Excellence for DRCFA

The Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority’s (DRCFA) vision for Huntington Place is clear: “to become the world’s top convention destination.” With approximately $550 million in enhancements underway, this investment is one of the most significant in Detroit’s convention and tourism economy, strengthening connections to the Riverfront Conservancy, Greenway Initiative, and downtown core.

Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick, Inc. (AEW) is honored to serve as a trusted member of the Huntington Place Team, managed by the DRCFA. In this role, AEW facilitates the selection and oversight of Architects, Engineers, Construction Managers, and Contractors. Acting as a link between ownership and the design and construction teams, AEW helps the Authority achieve its vision and priorities by ensuring its goals are reflected in every project phase while safeguarding the schedule, budget, and long-term operations.

Key projects include the new Second Avenue Extension, over the Lodge Freeway, connecting downtown to the Detroit River with pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicle access; the refurbishment of the Joe Louis Arena (JLA) Parking Garage; a Skybridge Connector from the JW Marriott Hotel to Huntington Place; and a host of interior Capital Improvement Program upgrades.

AEW is grateful to the DRCFA Huntington Place Team for allowing us to assist in realizing this transformative Vision!
