Survey Crew Chief

We are looking for a Survey Crew Chief to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction stakeouts, etc.
  • Utilize GPS, robotic total stations, digital levels, surveying software, and other tools as needed.
  • Utilize drones, scanners and other imaging devices for terrestrial imaging.
  • Interpret maps, plats, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Perform various survey calculations.
  • Organize and maintain survey documentation.
  • Conduct onsite inspections as needed.
  • Communicate project status to Project Managers and clients.
  • Assist Project Managers with contract requirements.
  • Prepare forms and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Maintain excellent client relations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a clean work vehicle, in good condition.

 Education/Experience

  • A high school education or equivalent is required, including a background in math, geometry and trigonometry.
  • Minimum years’ related experience in land and/or construction survey.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience with Trimble Survey Controllers, GPS, Robotic Total Stations required.
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify sources of measurement errors.
  • Attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential requirements.
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather.
  • Self-Motivated, strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
