We are looking for a Construction Services Department Lead to join our team!

Our Construction Services Department consists of 40-45 team members including supervisors and management, administrative staff, and construction observers. This department is responsible for providing construction observation services to our municipal and private clients on various infrastructure projects. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Construction Services Department oversight and management
  • AEW representative to Owner
  • Liaison between Construction Services Department and AEW Project Managers/Engineers
  • AEW representative as Project Engineer for select Federal Aid Projects (administered through MDOT)
  • Lead and manage ongoing training of the Construction Services Department staff
  • Provide technical expertise and support to Field Manager & Office Manager
  • Responsible for construction research of new technologies
  • Provide technical presentations, both internal and external
  • Assist in the development of policies and operational procedures

Education/Experience:

          Requirements:

  • 10+ years of related professional work experience in municipal and federal aid construction projects
  • Thorough knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA and MDOT standards, practices and current procedures
  • Excellent communication and client service skills

          Preferences:

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • PE Registration in the State of Michigan
  • MDOT Computerized Office Technician Certification
  • MDOT Field Manager Training
